Design By: Frank Rowell
Built 1960, 2 Bedroom, 3 Bathroom, 3000 Square Feet
Built in 1960 by a designer who loved the work of Richard Neutra, this house was created to integrate architecture, landscape, and practical comfort for his family. Large windows provide water and landscape views, and bring the outside into the open interior spaces, where interior eaves keep the house from becoming a white box. According to the second owner of the house, Frank Rowell had large vegetable gardens, mango trees, and beehives on the property, where he grew most of his own food.
