475 2nd Street North Unit 701 | St. Petersburg | 33701
Architecture: Mesh Architecture
Built 2007; 2 bedroom, 2.5 bath, 2500 square feet
475 is a seven-story condominium building located on the northern edge of downtown with 22 dwelling units and one retail space. The ground level contains the entrance lobby, parking garage and a coffee shop. The coffee shop activates the street corner and is an amenity for both the building and neighborhood. The garage is unique for the Tampa Bay area in that it utilizes car lifts to provide a second parking space for each residence. Overall the building has a traditional urban character with a well-defined street edge highlighting its corner site. However, the architectural expression is very contemporary reflecting today’s modern lifestyle.
Unit 701 is one of two seventh floor penthouses. The penthouses are conceived of as twin lofts placed on top of a six story cube. Unit 701 has 2,500 square feet of air-conditioned space and a 900 square foot wrap-around terrace providing 270 degree views of Tampa Bay and the city. It sold in 2011 and since then Mesh has designed, fabricated and installed several custom elements for the new owners including a home office and gallery wall.
